General Volunteer Opportunities
- Annual Color Run – 10/26 (Committee Member) Work with Fundraising Team to encourage students along the path, spray color, and other duties as assigned. This is a 2hr in person event on the JHES grounds.
- Trunk or Treat 10/26 – (Committee Member) Work with Family Fun Lead to plan the event, solicit trunks, candy donations, student activities, purchase pumpkins, setup and breakdown. This is a 2hr in person event on the JHES grounds.
- Fall Bingo Night 11/26 – (Committee Chair & Member) Plan, prepare, and manage the event. Includes purchasing pizza and drinks with PTA funds and selling those items at the event, Caller, set-up, and take-down. The event is 2hrs in-person at JHES cafeteria.
- Thankful for You Staff Luncheon 11/26 – (Committee Lead & Member) Support with delivery, set up, and serving lunch from 10AM-2PM.
- Science Fair 2/27 – (Committee Member) Plan the fair, solicit judges, award students. This event is 2hrs in person at the JHES cafeteria from 6pm-8pm.
- Arts and Crafts Night – 4/27 (Committee Member) Plan activities, manage a craft table, help students with activity. Set-up, take-down. This is a 2hr in-person event, not including set-up and take-down.
- International/Multicultural Night 5/27 – (Committee Member) Support Paulette with planning, preparing, and managing the event, solicit participants, solicit performers and community volunteers, day-of event management, set up, break down. This is a 2hr in-person event (not including set-up and take-down).
- Teacher Appreciation Week 5/27 – (Committee Member) Support with the planning and management of up to five staff appreciation incentives. Support may include soliciting businesses for donations/discounts, organizing sign-up genius and communication with JHES families. Times varies throughout the week
- Field Day 5/2027 – (Committee Lead) Book snow cone vendor, purchase water/coolers for Field Day volunteers and students using PTA funds. Booking the vendor can be done virtually, purchase, and delivery of the water to the school in coolers must be done morning-of. Time TBD
